My time as a professional glass artist began in 1997 on graduating from the University of Sunderland with a degree in art & design specialising in architectural glass art.Since then the majority of my work has been ecclesiastical commissions. My work can be seen in many churches in Yorkshire and the North East plus some further afield. I have also carried out many private commissions, sometimes windows for private residences or autonomous panels for private collections . When I am not involved in commissioned work,I like to work at a more personal level, creating one off pieces either drawings/paintings or glass for exhibition or galleries. I am greatly influenced by the textural qualities found in nature or natural errosion. My personal work leans torward the slightly surreal or semi abstract aspect.
I occasionaly hold glass courses at my studio, teaching the basic cutting and leading processes and the more advanced glass painting techniques. Information on these courses will be added to this website in the near future.
